We believe that the success story of this French but global-oriented company should be told and set as inspiration.

Return Of Experience

Thanks to fruitful discussions with numerous people whether they were interested or not by our innovative technology, our initial idea has naturally evolved :

Based on our recent sessions of brainstorming, we clearly re-defined the objectives of our project and prioritize what we want our system to do. At first, we wanted to implement a geo-localization system to find the misplaced objects but we decided to drop this idea and to keep the project more simple but evidently more doable. The inner concept of geo-localization coul not work with only RFID technology.

We read some scientific articles, and we acknowledged that even if we are abble to increase the frequency of RFID tags, the actual smartphone technology does not allow to detect those frequencies. So we thought about a solution but our system kept being more and more difficult to set up. Since smartphones can use wi-fi or bluetooth, if we want to use these technologies, that implies our tags must then function with their own batteries and then they'll lose a paramount advantages  : the size.

The marketing researchs we did on online forums such as Quora or Yahoo Answers were very positive and validated the potential of our project. There is a real need for that kind of technology because a very large number of people suffer from this kind of glitches.

We also conducted a survey among people around us (relatives, friends, social media, strangers on the streets) and the results are rather conclusive and really gave the team a boost to take the project to the next level !

Here are the results :

Even if we are not abble to go through the prototyping process, we were still glad to work on this project and it was an enlightening experience.
